South African Odyssey

I’ve been so busy working on my www.thenoveltraveller.com website that I’ve be completely neglecting my books website – I know that both are similar in many ways but I like to keep this site for my book news. At the moment I’m working on ideas for a travel book and the best way to publish my next novel.

In the meantime I’ve been travelling and I visited South Africa for the first time in March. It really was the most remarkable adventure and the TV3 Elaine show came along with cameras so look out for our coverage in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime listen to my podcast from the Hard Shoulder on Ivan Yates show on TV 3- you can find the link to it on my website here  http://thenoveltraveller.com/south-african-odyssey-newstalk-fm/ We stayed in Limpopo and went on a remarkable safari followed by a wonderful few days in Johannesburg. The visit to the Mandela Exhibition at the Apartheid Museum and Soweto were two of the highlights of this amazing experience.

Watch out for my posts about this on The Novel Traveller

I have lots of new plans and I’ll update them soon – In the meantime my friend Maria Duffy has a fab new book out In Search of Us – it’s a great read so do pick it up

Happy Reading
